Overview

Pricing Files belong to the Load phase: once the Hotels, Rates, and Rooms are created in Inventory, pricing files load the price logic into those Rates for a given date range and commercial logic.

This section includes the main pricing models supported by Travelgate's Rules File integration.

Standard Rate Loading vs LOS Pricing

When loading prices and conditions into a Rate, it is important to differentiate between two integration types:

  1. Standard Rate Loading: a rate will have different sets of conditions, but a rate can only have one type of pricing structure per day.
  2. LOS (Length of Stay) Pricing: some suppliers work with LOS Pricing. This means that for a single day, you can have multiple different prices depending on the minLengthOfStay, maxLengthOfStay, or durationDays.
note

LOS parameters are optional. If your business doesn't work with them, leave them blank.

info

Only use the pricing model that matches your business model β€” each of the four pricing files is an alternative, not a mandatory set. The Restrictions file applies regardless of the pricing model you choose.

How these files work

Each pricing file is attached to a hotel, rate, and room definition and adds a specific commercial calculation model. Depending on the Seller's business logic, Travelgate can use:

  • a fixed room price
  • a standard-occupancy price
  • exact occupancy pricing
  • age-based pricing
