Edit Room

Manage Room Type Changes Efficiently

You can change the room type of a room that has already been created in a rate. When editing, you can only select a room type that already exists in your room master list — you cannot create a new room master from the edit window.

How to Edit a Room Type in a Rate

  • Deselect the current room type from the field.
  • From the autocomplete dropdown, select a different room type from your master list. The dropdown shows all the room types (room masters) you have already created.

caution

You cannot create a new room type (room master) while editing a room. The dropdown only lets you choose from room types that already exist in your master list. If you clear the field and type a brand-new name, it will not be saved and the field will appear empty.

If the room type you need does not exist yet, you must first create it using the New room type option when adding a room (see Add Room). Once saved, it is added to your master list and becomes available in the All Room Types section, so you can then select it when editing the room.

Can I Modify the Standard Occupancy of a Room in Inventory?

No, the Standard Occupancy cannot be modified. To make changes, follow these steps:

  1. Delete the affected room(s).
  2. Re-add the room(s) with the desired standard occupancy.
  3. Contact the Channel Manager to request a remap and reload based on the updated information.

This ensures the changes are correctly applied and reflected in the system.
