API Settings

What can I expect to find in API Settings?🔎​

In the API Settings, you can easily view and manage your account settings. Just follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Log onto TravelgateX

  2. Click on Connections > API Settings

  3. You will be able to find the following information:

    • BROWSING AS A BUYER (you will find 2 tabs):
      • API Settings: it displays the following information:

        • List of API Keys associated with your Organization (encrypted). Simply click in the "You can manage your API Keys here" in the yellow callout in order to visualize this information. Please note that API Keys cannot be retrieved; therefore, ensure you keep a record of yours once created.
          You can also access your List of API Keys directly from the user manager dropdown menu, in the top right corner of your screen, by clicking in 'API Keys'.
        • Business Settings and Timeout Settings. Both Business and Timeout settings are the ones configured by default for your account, regardless of the client and access - please note Settings set at request level override default settings.

Can't find your API Key or need a new one?
You can create a new API Key through the API Settings section, by navigating to the List of API Keys screen. Simply click on 'Create new API Key' and follow the steps outlined:

  • Fill in the Key description: the API Key name or identifier.
  • Save the new API Key generated for your account.
  • Click on "accept and close".

Easy, right?🚀

  • Clients: here you are able to check the Hotel-X clients already created for your account, as well as generate new ones:

    • Adding new clients is as easy as clicking on "Create new client":

    When creating a new client, you'll be required to provide a client name. By default, all new clients will be granted full access. This means that if your Search query doesn't specify any access, and you only use the client, all accesses will be applied:

    If you wish to assign specific accesses to a particular client, you can make adjustments by selecting the "Edit default accesses" option:

    Simply uncheck the checkbox to grant the client full access by default, and then use the access boxes to choose only specific ones:

If you are using our Legacy Pull Buyers API, your clients (or 'hub users') have an associated password. You can check this password with the "Get password" option.

  • BROWSING AS A SELLER (you will find 1 tab):

    • API Settings: it displays the list of API Keys associated with your Organization (encrypted). Simply click in the "You can manage your API Keys here" in the yellow callout in order to visualize this information. Please note that API Keys cannot be retrieved; therefore, ensure you keep a record of yours once created.
